Fivetran product update: April 2026

Keep track of new connectors and product releases
April 1, 2026

Every month, we send out a customer newsletter highlighting product and connector releases. Below you'll find the full product update for the month, which includes additional content that didn't make the email.

We also encourage you to check out the Fivetran release notes, which include schema changes.

New releases

Full event-driven pipelines — no manual work required

You can now orchestrate your entire data pipeline — from connectors to transformations to reverse ETL — directly within Fivetran, without manual effort or third-party tools. Activation syncs automatically trigger as soon as upstream connections or transformations are complete, keeping your data fresh and ready for action. You can set up dependencies directly within the sync configuration under the Fivetran tab. Read more about triggering and scheduling here.

Gain greater control over your reporting-ready data

Gain more control over your data with the ability to customize your schema naming convention for Quickstart data models. As your projects scale, schema naming for transformed tables becomes increasingly important. With Quickstart data models, you can easily customize schema names to your internal conventions — combining ease of use with greater flexibility and control. Read more about Quickstart schema renaming here.

Expanded SAP support with SAP Message Server and SAP Router for greater reliability

You can now connect to SAP using the SAP Message Server / Router, enabling load balancing and automatic failover across application servers. Instead of a single instance, Fivetran routes to the healthiest available server to ensure more reliable data syncs.

New standard connectors and improvements

Set up any new connector and enjoy a free historical sync along with a 14-day connector trial to explore its full capabilities. Connectors in private preview are completely free to use while in this release stage. We also highlight some critical improvements made to connectors.

New Lite connectors

Lite connectors have an accelerated development cycle built for specific use cases. Learn more about lite connectors in the docs and see all available lite connectors in the connector directory. You can add any of this month’s new Lite connectors (below) by following the link to your Fivetran dashboard.
