Since our founding 11 years ago, we’ve had one mission: make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. While that mission has remained consistent — how we deliver on it has evolved with our customers’ needs and industry expectations.
This past year, we’ve expanded our services in nearly every direction to move more data to more locations — faster, with more governance and security than ever before. Let’s take a look at the numbers that add up into one of our most innovative years yet — for Fivetran, and our global customers.
500 connectors and growing: Supporting every data source with a single platform
We are excited to announce that we just surpassed support of 500 data sources with our fully-managed connectors. You can find the full list in our Connector Directory — our sources span everything from SaaS applications, events and files to business-critical sources like databases and ERPs.
And we aren’t slowing down our connector production — thanks to efforts like our By Request Program wherein customers can request SaaS connectors we don’t already support. Since the program launched, we’ve built over 270 connectors through this program. Additionally, our recently released SDKs enable any tech vendor to easily build their own source or destination on top of our reliable, robust platform.
We’re just getting started with 500 sources. But, it’s not just about the breadth of data sources we support, but also the depth in how they are built and maintained. Which brings us to our next big number.
99.97% uptime and 1 minute syncs: Fast and reliable data, every time
It’s one thing to have the largest catalog of data sources. It’s another to ensure they move high volumes of data quickly and without failure. This year, we achieved 99.97% uptime, which includes third party related issues — and we introduced one minute sync frequencies.
As more and more businesses require real-time data, we deliver reliable, speedy data movement at scale to accelerate your data strategy. That’s thanks to our 500+ engineers building and maintaining pipelines to provide the volume and reliability that some of the biggest global brands rely on.
Deliveroo, for example, recently chose Fivetran precisely because of our breadth and depth of connectors:
Deliveroo selected Fivetran for its robust, reliable solution with a multitude of connectors, which could support its current and future needs. The ease of use offered by Fivetran has also saved Deliveroo’s team of engineers approximately 100 hours of time each week, freeing up time to spend on business-critical responsibilities such as optimising platform uptime and availability.
3 data lakes and 3 deployment models: Moving data from any source to any destination
We support all modern destinations across databases, warehouses and event streaming platforms to meet our customers’ multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic infrastructures. All while writing into destinations better than our competitors.
And this past year we dove into the waters of data lakes with S3, ADLS and One Lake compatibility.
Our support for data lakes is unique in the market and stems back to our company’s mission. In order to make data simple and reliable, it must land governed and ready to use. That’s why our data lake support is focused on structured, governed data lakes.
Moving data across the business isn’t only about coverage of data sources and destinations either, it also means doing so regardless of where that data lives — on premises, in the cloud or hybrid.
This is especially important for industries with stringent security requirements or companies that have an on-premises database they want to maintain even while moving some workloads to the cloud.
Last year, we expanded our deployment model coverage to support three different deployments: cloud, on-premises and hybrid. Regardless of where your data lives — and where it is going — we move it reliably and securely.
While we accomplished even more last year, like our 8 new cloud regions, our half a dozen partner awards or our countless improvements to every connector, schema and more.
But — we’ll leave you with one last number: 14
That’s the number of days available via free trial — so you can try out the reliability, scalability and security of Fivetran firsthand.
