Fivetran unlocks local data residency for GCP users in Indonesia

Fivetran’s latest cloud region launch supports GCP hosting in Indonesia

Fivetran’s latest GCP cloud region launch, Jakarta, Indonesia, expands support for Google Cloud corporations.

Indonesian companies operating on Google Cloud can now facilitate their Fivetran data movement within their local GCP cloud environment. Key benefits for businesses operating within the country include low-latency, high performance data movement with faster transfer speeds and increased efficiency.

To date, Fivetran offers 10 different Google Cloud regions across nine countries: the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia.

One of the many challenges of operating a global enterprise is navigating local data residency requirements. Many countries require businesses to store and process their data within their borders to comply with local regulations.

That means companies must remain aware of the restrictions applicable to each region or country they operate in, including the ability to prove their compliance in the case of an audit. This is a difficult task, and one that multiplies in complexity as businesses expand into new regions and their data volumes increase.

To support our global enterprises, Fivetran has multi-cloud functionality, allowing customers to deploy Fivetran on multiple clouds and orchestrate data between clouds. A multi-cloud deployment strategy gives enterprises more flexibility and control over their data movement, to optimize their cloud provider usage and minimize their data ingress and egress costs.

With GCP, AWS and Azure cloud regions located around the world, Fivetran is able to provide its global customers with the scalability and flexibility they need to support their businesses as they grow and expand into new markets. Visit our docs for all our latest cloud regions.

Fivetran Business Critical for GCP unlocks Google KMS and Google Private Service Connect integrations, for GCP users looking for the highest level of security.
