13 January 2022 – Fivetran, the global leader in modern data integration, today announced the appointment of two data industry veterans to its EMEA management team, based in Dublin, Ireland. Joining the company are Guro Bakkeng Bergan, VP GM EMEA, and Ciarán McGoldrick, Head of Alliances, EMEA and APAC, who will play pivotal roles in spearheading Fivetran’s growth in the region, particularly within the enterprise market.

Guro Bakkeng Bergan will lead all of Fivetran’s EMEA revenue-generating operations, and will be responsible for accelerating the company’s strong growth. In 2021, Fivetran more than doubled its EMEA revenues and customer count, which includes Penguin Random House, Nando’s and Douglas, and acquired data replication leader HVR, bringing customers including Lufthansa, Hermes Group and The Very Group. She will lead a growing EMEA team that expanded more than 150 percent in 2021. 

Bakkeng Bergan joins with more than 16 years of experience in senior customer-facing roles at technology companies, ranging from start-ups to global giants. Prior to Fivetran, she was global VP of Sales Acceleration, Execution and Strategy at cloud software provider New Relic, where she successfully helped grow the company’s enterprise revenues and transform to a consumption model. Other experience includes three years as a senior director of Oracle’s consulting services and ten years at ServiceSource, where she oversaw business analysts, solution architects and data engineers.

McGoldrick will be responsible for growing Fivetran’s alliances business in both EMEA and APAC, working with strategic partners such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Looker, Snowflake and Databricks, as well as key systems integrators, resellers and consultants. He brings more than 20 years of experience in technology, most recently building the partner ecosystem for Google Cloud’s Southeast Asia business. McGoldrick started his career with Oracle, before moving on to Dell EMC and later Pure Storage, where he worked with Fortune 500 customers and strategic partners such as Accenture, DXC and Cognizant.
