Fivetran launched its partner referral program back in 2018 and has since onboarded and collaborated with hundreds of partners, including global systems integrators. The Alliances team at Fivetran has grown to almost 40 people globally, and with the support of our partners and entire go-to-market team, partners are engaged in 100 percent of our deals.
So what's new?
We understand many customers want to streamline their buying process and minimize the number of vendors they need to work with, so we’ve introduced a brand new reseller program, which includes rewards for partners selling via Marketplaces. This means customers now have more purchasing options than ever before.
More training and certification offers
Our new expanded certification program educates and empowers our partners to take these new offerings to market and support customers to leverage them effectively. We have basic training available for all as well as the option to move on to a sales or technical certification. These are available online, allowing partners to learn at their own pace. As our offering evolves, we will be making regular updates available to keep partners' knowledge up to date.
New tiers for referral and reseller programs
We have four tiers for our referral program ranging from Registered to Elite, three tiers for our reseller program from Advanced to Elite, and four tiers for our training and certification program from Fivetran Trained to Gold Certified. By tiering our certification program separately to the referral and reseller programs, we can reward our partners for going above and beyond with their education, and customers can easily identify our partners capabilities.
In addition to new tiers, we’ve added more benefits including:
- New financial rewards for all partner types
- A partner advisory council in each key region
- Partner communities
- Partner marketing support and exclusive sponsorship opportunities
- Partner sales engineering hours
What prompted these changes?
Fivetran is a growing, maturing business that is expanding into the enterprise market and enlisting the support of global systems integrators. We have the opportunity to broaden the incentives, routes to market and learning experience for our partners to drive more impact and better customer experiences across the world.
We interviewed partners in each region and asked for their feedback on their immediate needs and future requirements. We also worked with our technology partners to capture their learnings and their partners' feedback to understand the challenges and successes they faced with their program launches, to ensure we delivered the best program possible.
We’re so excited for our existing partners to utilize the new benefits available to them and to welcome new partners into our program across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific regions.
This is a journey, and it doesn’t stop here. As the next step, we’re actively working towards making significant updates to our partners’ onboarding journey in making it easier than ever to get enabled with Fivetran with both packaged and bespoke offerings. Partners can also expect more focus in our newer markets. Our work is never finished – we’re going to continue updating our program to give partners the best experience possible.
