Fivetran now available on Google Cloud in Saudi Arabia

With Vision 2030 driving rapid digital growth, Saudi Arabia is placing increasing importance on data sovereignty and privacy, with the Kingdom’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) setting clear expectations for how and where data must be handled.
To that end, organizations in Saudi Arabia can now run Fivetran on Google Cloud Platform (GCP Dammam region) within the Kingdom, enabling secure, compliant data movement while keeping data in-region.
For many organizations, data residency has been a key barrier to modernizing their data infrastructure. With Fivetran now available on GCP in Saudi Arabia, that barrier is removed. Teams can continuously move and centralize data from databases, SaaS applications, events, files, and more using over 700 prebuilt connectors, all without sending sensitive data outside the country.
This expansion gives enterprises greater control over where their data is processed and stored, helping them meet PDPL requirements while accelerating cloud adoption and AI initiatives. Just as importantly, it allows organizations to adopt an Open Data Infrastructure (ODI) approach, centralizing data once in a governed foundation that can be accessed across tools, teams, and AI systems without duplication or lock-in.
Built on an open data architecture approach, Fivetran enables organizations to move data reliably and efficiently using automated change data capture (CDC), ensuring data is continuously synchronized with minimal latency and reduced operational overhead. With connectors across databases, cloud applications, files, and events, enterprises can accelerate integration projects, reduce engineering effort, and standardize data pipelines at scale without building or maintaining custom integrations.
Fivetran is designed to meet the highest standards for data security and compliance, supporting certifications such as ISO, SOC 2, and PCI DSS. Combined with in-region deployment on GCP, this allows organizations to build modern data platforms that align with local regulations while maintaining global best practices.
For CIOs, CTOs, and data leaders, this means they can confidently modernize their data stack without compromising on governance or control.
