New releases
What’s new from dbt Summit and what it means for you
At dbt Summit, we unveiled the next generation of the Fivetran + dbt platform, from the new dbt v2 engine and dbt State to Lake Compute, dbt Wizard, dbt Charts, and more. Together, these innovations help your teams move faster, optimize compute costs, and build the trusted data and context foundation needed for AI. Learn more about everything we announced and what it means for your data and AI strategy.
Build AI trust and efficiency with Fivetran Context Layer
Now in Limited Public Preview. Fivetran Context Layer builds agent context from the pipeline you already run, directly in your data warehouse or lake. Fivetran ingests your analytical, operational, and knowledge sources, including indexing unstructured content, publishing it all to Agents Schema: open, plain SQL tables in your own warehouse that any AI tool can query. This means no lock-in with a separate context silo bolted on downstream that only harvests meaning after its been built. The result is agents reasoning with your business context instead of guessing from raw sources, increasing trust and reducing token usage along the way.
For teams using dbt, the new, open-source dbt context engineering package provides macros that allow teams direct control over transforming data into infrastructure that builds agent-ready context.

Right-size your dbt transformations compute with Lake Compute
Lake compute is a hosted, serverless compute engine for running dbt transformations on
Apache Iceberg tables. Now in private beta, it runs alongside your existing warehouse so you can optimize compute for each model – all within one dbt project, DAG, and ref graph. Use Lake Compute for simpler transformations while keeping distributed processing and advanced warehouse workloads on your primary warehouse allowing you to optimize your costs.
Learn more and request to join the private beta.
Adopt an open data lake without resyncing data
Regain control of your data by moving to a Fivetran Managed Data Lake - reducing your CDW ingestion costs and allowing you to connect multiple compute engines to use the right tool for each workload (including your existing CDW). Data is stored in a bucket within your cloud account in open-format Apache Iceberg(™) tables, all managed by Fivetran.
Our automatic process for upgrading your existing Snowflake destination to a Fivetran Managed Data Lake without having to resync data or repoint your pipelines is available in beta now.
Orchestrate the platform with Fivetran CLI (beta)
The Fivetran CLI is now in beta. It gives you and AI agents a new way to manage the platform, making it easier to run scripts and AI-powered workflows all from the terminal. No need to work directly with APIs or an MCP server.
You can create and update connections, configure schemas, manage users and teams, deploy custom connections, and more — all from the CLI.
Ready to try it? Check out the installation instructions and documentation.
New standard connectors and improvements
Set up any new connector and enjoy a free historical sync along with a 14-day connector trial to explore its full capabilities. Connectors in private preview are completely free to use while in this release stage. We also highlight some critical improvements made to connectors.
- The Stripe connector now captures expanded billing, credit, and checkout data, giving you more complete visibility into credits, usage-based billing, subscription-item discounts, checkout responses, and Connected Accounts.
- The Email connector can now fetch and ingest files directly from URLs in the email body, giving you more flexibility to sync files beyond traditional email attachments.
- The Zuora connector now supports three new Audit Trail tables, giving you greater visibility into login activity, configuration changes, and object-level changes across your Zuora tenant.
- SAP ECC on Oracle now in Private Preview
- SAP OData now Generally Available
New Lite connectors
Lite connectors have an accelerated development cycle built for specific use cases. Learn more about Lite connectors in the docs and see all available Lite connectors in the connector directory.
