Fivetran achieves “unicorn” status with $100 million Series C financing

We will use the funding to accelerate global expansion and drive adoption in the enterprise market.
June 28, 2020

We are proud to announce our Series C financing, co-led by General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from existing investors Matrix Partners and CEAS Investments.

Valuing Fivetran at more than $1B, this financing validates years of hard work by our entire global team to establish Fivetran as the leading provider of next-generation, automated data integration in the cloud. Despite recent economic uncertainty, Fivetran has continued to grow rapidly as customers see the opportunity to reduce their total cost of ownership by adopting our product in place of highly customized, in-house ETL pipelines that require constant maintenance. Fivetran is the only data pipeline with the correct architecture for large enterprises moving to the cloud.

Our product is designed from the ground up to automatically normalize complex data sources, recover from failures without human intervention, and leverage the revolutionary capabilities of analytical databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery and Databricks. Our core architecture is the result of five years of hard work and experience with real-world enterprise data sources. These great results are the work of a great team with a unique company culture. If you're looking to join a fast-growing company that cares about its employees, check out our careers page. Our mission is to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. If you'd like to learn more about how our customers have been able to shift their focus from maintaining infrastructure to getting insights from data, take a look at our case studies.
